I thought I would share my thoughts on what I believe to be essentials for the Perfect make-up!
1. TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN
I personally think everyone should learn how to take care of their own own skin. Myself haven't tought about it since some years ago just because I used to think that having young and fresh skin woud have been enought... but I was SO WRONG! The thing is that it's not just how makeup applies smoother on our face, it mostly is for our own health; i mean who doesn't want to age beautifully right? I really recomend starting using at least a moisturizer and a face wash (beside really trying to always remove your makeup before going to sleep).

2. INVEST IN QUALITY BUSHES
When I first started getting into beauty and taking a real interest in make-up I thought brushes weren't essential at all and a complete waste of money. I used to apply all make-up with my fingers. (Even eyeshadow..) .. When i look back to pictures of myself before i used brushes i just think *what was i thinking*.
Brushes make such a HUGE difference to the application of make-up. I never used to believe it but trust me they work. They make everything smoother, more precise and give your whole make-up a more professional finish.
3. THE LESS THE BETTER
I'm often surrounded by girls that completly cover their face in makeup and I've never understood why! Makeup is a great help to deal with our confidence and with how we look, but it doesn't mean we have to be victims of that.. makeup is to enhance our features, not to cover ourself. I know it's not that easy to start removing items rather than adding but.. if we don't love ourself bareface, how can we love it when we're caked on?
4. HIGHLIGHT
I think highlighters are AMAZING. A lot of people don't use them or don't want to waste money on something that isn't essential but for me they are 100% essential. They can completely transform the look of your make-up. There are hundreds of different ones on the market, powders, creams and so on. They are a completely versatile product that can be used on all areas of the face the naturally catch the light. For example, they are perfect for the cheekbones, brow bone and inner corner of the eye. If you want to give your body a glow ready for a night out, highlighters are perfect to use down the legs and across the collarbone. They can transform your whole look from day to night and make you look totally GLAM. Ever heard about strobing? Anyway, enough about that .. i'm getting carried away .......
5. FIND YOUR PERFECT MATCH
This may seem like I'm stating the obvious but it really is important to ask a professional. It is sooooo easy to end up with an orange or casper the ghost style pale face, blusher that looks like a clown or eyeshadow that is far too dark if you don't ask someone what looks best on your skin. It is so easy to go into a local department store such as Sephora, Kiko, MAC and ask the girls behind the make-up counters what suits you. That's what their there for after all. The girls in them stores used to intimidate me a bit because theres a stereotype surrounding them that they can be stuck-up and snobby but a lot of the time that isn't true and they will be more than happy to help.
Anyway, hope some of this advice was useful. Do you have any Top Beauty Tips??!!
